Pond Reflections in Dayton

We went to one of my best friend's wedding receptions this past weekend in Dayton, OH.  She and her husband actually got married in December in the Dominican Republic, but they decided to have a small reception for close friends and family since only a handful of people came to their actual destination wedding.  Her husband is in the air force, so they held it at a cute lodge that is inside the air force base in Dayton.  There was a nice outside area too with a lake in the background (I think it looked more like a pond though, but maybe that was just because of subliminal messages from my dress.....)

I debuted the Pond Reflections dress and styled it exactly as I had created in a previous polyvore set.  I didn't get any pictures of just me....so here's a pic of me with my husband, one of me with my best friend, and one of me with the bride.  It was so nice to see some of my best friends.  We all went to high school together and are still very close (even though we don't live close!)  In fact, the gal in the blue was my maid of honor and the other two were bridesmaids.  A few of my other closest friends couldn't make it because they were on vacation...we missed them!

OOTD: New Boden Skirt

I recently ordered a couple of skirts from Boden during a 25% off + free shipping promo.  Today I decided to debut one of them along with a top and cardi I picked up at the LOFT outlet a couple weeks ago.  I must say, I really like the way this outfit came together!  However, after sitting in my hot office all afternoon the linen skirt sure did turn into a wrinkly mess.  Oh well, that's just part of my love/hate relationship with linen I guess!
I highly recommend this skirt.  It comes in several pretty summer colors, is lined, and has nice deep pockets.  I like that Boden skirts are available in regular or long lengths.  This is supposed to be an above the knee skirt in the regular length, but I ordered the long so it would be more work appropriate.

I'm obsessed with this belt.  So much so that I just ordered another one (in the other color scheme) today!  It's so comfortable and goes with almost everything.  Plus, it's reversible!  This side is a light tan and the other is a minty green.  It's on sale and still available online - I highly recommend it!
