New arrivals that make my heart flutter

On Thursday evening I was going about my normal routine.... checking the Anthro website for new arrivals.  My heart skipped a beat when I saw that there were 27 pages of "new" clothing arrivals alone!  Of course, some of these I'd noticed before, but I was delighted to see all of the BRAND NEW AMAZING ITEMS!  Guess I'd better start saving up because my wishlist tripled in size last night!  Not sure how long I'm going to be able to resist some of these beauties before I cave.  Anyway, here's a run down of the items that tickled my fancy the most.

Spliced Ikat Shift - $168
I love the colors and pattern on this dress!!!  The shape of the dress looks very flattering and I adore the v-neck, contrast hem, and wider straps (don't have to worry about bra straps showing..horray!)  Definitely trying this one on the next time I visit the store.

LOVE the vintage flare.....from the pretty feminine plaid, the adorable peek-through of the flower lining, and  the flowing a-line shape!  Can't stop thinking about this skirt!

Another skirt that I cannot stop looking at.  It just looks so soft and comfortable.  I have a new- found love for the gold/mustard yellow color.  I used to avoid this color because of my pale skin tone, but I've come to realize that it's actually quite a nice color on me!  So, the color is the #1 thing that caught my eye and the vintage floral pattern on the skirt makes it even more fabulous!  I'm in love with the scalloped hemline and the tiny silver stud details down either side!  Now that free shipping is back, I may not be able to resist buying this skirt for too much longer!

This tank caught my eye because of the pretty floral design and soft color scheme.  When I read that it was jersey material it made me love it even more....imagine how comfy it must be!  Bet this would be a very versatile piece to be worn with jeans, slacks, skirts, or under a cute cardi!  Wishlisted for sale as I just can't bring myself to spend $68 for a tank!

This caught my eye because I really don't have any 3/4 length or long-sleeve casual shirts in my wardrobe.  I have so many cute short sleeved shirts and tanks and I want a long sleeved one, darn it!  Love the crocheted feminine detailing along the v-neck.  Besides the dark orange, it also comes in moss (more like a dark teal-green), beige, and light purple that are all gorgeous.  So, the hard part would be choosing a color!

One thing you should know is that I am a cardigan freak.  This cardigan stole my heart because, well, it's just so damn cute!  The ruffled hem?  The cutesy bow on top?  The oh-so-pretty knitted flowers?  It's the definition of cute!  But, that's also the problem.  It just may be TOO cute for me.  I'm not sure that I could pull it off.  That won't stop me from trying it on sometime in the near future, so we'll see....maybe I'll change my mind!

This cardigan isn't a brand new arrival...I've had it on my wish list for a while now.  I love everything about this cardigan except for the $178 price tag...yikes!  Still waiting for some reviews...I'm dying to know what people think of this cardi in real life!  I love it because it looks like a piece of art with the tiny beading details along the neck, the abstract-shaped buttons, and of course the hexagonal weave pattern.  The pockets make me love it even more.  Can't wait to see some dressing room reviews of this one!

And last, but certainly not least.....
I always have been and always will be a sucker for handbags.  My husband always gives me a hard time about having too many (men just don't understand!).  As soon as I saw this beauty, I knew I had to have it.  Love the rich brown leather trim and the pops of pink/red.  Definition of pretty.vintage.chic!  I MUST have it...we'll see how long I can resist :)

So, which new items make YOUR heart flutter?  Please share! :)

The beginning of my love affair with Anthropologie.......

Allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Meghan and I'm just an average 28-year-old gal enjoying life as a newlywed and dreaming about all things pretty, vintage, and chic.  I decided to start this blog because of my new found obsession with Anthropologie........

"New found???" you may ask?  Well, I've been familiar with Anthropologie's existence for quite some time (thanks to my very fashion savvy cousin).  I'd been to the store several times with my mom and was blown away by all the cutesy unique things, but never actually bought anything.  Every once in a while, I'd glance at the website (mostly to scope out their handbags and jewelry) and made a couple select purchases here and there.  So, you could say that Anthropologie and I were acquaintances for a while.  And then it finally happened......our acquaintance status turned into a full-blown love affair.  I officially became head-over-heels in love with Anthropologie.  The crazy, all-you-can-think-about, constant-daydreaming, stalking-the-website-daily kind of love.

It all started that past July because I was looking for a cute, pretty, casual dress to wear for our engagement photo shoot.  Shopping for dresses is a nightmare for me because it seems like I can never find anything cute in the local stores (I live in mid-Michigan and the selection of unique fashionable retail establishments is very limited.... *sigh*).  It's times like these I wish I lived in a big city!  So, I finally began searching online under the criteria "cute, pretty, vintage, casual dresses" and stumbled upon many blogs and articles stating that Anthropologie was the place to look for amazingly cute and unique dresses.  Although I'd never purchased an article of clothing from Anthro before (aside from a super-pretty apron), I went to the website to check out the dresses.  Sure enough, I was in heaven!  After drooling over almost every single item on the website, I added the Secret Treasure Dress, Over and Under Wedges, and Claude's Retreat Tank (wasn't really looking for a tank, but I just couldn't resist this beauty!) in my shopping bag, checked out, and anxiously awaited my beautiful new Anthro items!

Since that day I haven't gone more than a couple of days without checking out Anthro's website or reading blogs dedicated to Anthropologie.  Every time I visit my parents, I make a trip to their local Anthropologie store to check things out and usually end up leaving with at least one item.  Wish I had one closer to my house!!
Reading other blogs dedicated to Anthropologie have inspired me to strive for a more fashionable, pretty, and chic wardrobe.  What better way to document my journey than to start a blog of my own about all of my Anthro obsessions and other pretty.vintage.chic finds?!  I hope my blog will help inspire your fashion sense, give other Anthro-addicts their daily fix, and of course, to help rope in some new Anthro-lovers!  Enjoy!

In honor of my first blog post ever, I'll leave you with my first complete Anthro outfit ever!
