OOTD: Repeat Red,White, & Blue

Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend!  My husband and I had a fantastic weekend camping near Traverse City, MI.  We went to the National Cherry Festival, saw an air show, visited local breweries and wineries, indulged in some good food, enjoyed the gorgeous weather, and hung out with my husband's aunt, uncle, and cousin.  It was such a fun weekend!

I don't have any outfits to share from the weekend as I was pretty casual.  Today I went to work and was still feeling the red, white, & blue vibe.  Yes, this is an exact repeat of an outfit I wore here, except I switched out the jewelry and shoes.  Next time I promise I'll remix it without wearing the same cardi and belt.  I told you this was going to be my go-to dress on hot summer days!

Pond Reflections in Dayton

We went to one of my best friend's wedding receptions this past weekend in Dayton, OH.  She and her husband actually got married in December in the Dominican Republic, but they decided to have a small reception for close friends and family since only a handful of people came to their actual destination wedding.  Her husband is in the air force, so they held it at a cute lodge that is inside the air force base in Dayton.  There was a nice outside area too with a lake in the background (I think it looked more like a pond though, but maybe that was just because of subliminal messages from my dress.....)

I debuted the Pond Reflections dress and styled it exactly as I had created in a previous polyvore set.  I didn't get any pictures of just me....so here's a pic of me with my husband, one of me with my best friend, and one of me with the bride.  It was so nice to see some of my best friends.  We all went to high school together and are still very close (even though we don't live close!)  In fact, the gal in the blue was my maid of honor and the other two were bridesmaids.  A few of my other closest friends couldn't make it because they were on vacation...we missed them!

Anthropologie Pond Reflections Dress - Styling Ideas

 I really liked the Pond Reflections Dress way back when I first tried it on on New Year's Eve!  When it finally went on sale, I had recently purchased several other dresses so I decided to let it go.  This weekend I noticed there was a pop back of my size.  I went back and forth about whether to pull the trigger and get it while I had the second chance.  While doing so, I brainstormed some ideas of how to style it......

Well, after playing around on Polyvore I realized just how versatile this dress really is.  The colors in the dress are so pretty together and go with so much!  Yep, I scooped up the pop back while I still could knowing that I would probably regret it otherwise.  I'm thinking about using the first styling option to wear to my friend's "dressy casual" wedding reception in a few weeks.
