30 in 6!!! *gulp*

It suddenly hit me about two weeks ago.  I was lounging around waiting for my husband to get home from work while watching some quality shows that I'd DVRed.  Okay, I admit, it was Real Housewives of Orange County.....my guilty pleasure.  ANYWAY, it hit me that.....{drum roll please} *gulp*, I turn 30 in exactly 6 months from June 2nd.  And....*double gulp*, June 2nd sure is coming up quick!

At that time I started thinking about how I really am kind of nervous about turning 30.  I know it's not a huge deal... Afterall, my husband and all of our friend's (by his association) are alreay 30 and I still think they're cool enough to hang out with :)  But, I'm the very first of my closest group of friends to turn 30, so I guess I don't have one of my girlfriends to assure me that she, indeed, did not wake up as a boring old hag on her 30th birthday.  I guess you could say I'm the guinea pig for my best friends....and hopefully I survive to assure them that they, too, will make it through their 30th.

I got to thinking and realized that there are some things I'd like to improve about myself before I turn 30.  Maybe, just maybe, if I set my mind to it and work hard towards these goals it will make turning 30 that much less painful.  I just keep thinking....it sure would be nice to look and feel your best at 30 (or at least be well on your way towards it).

I want to share a couple of my "accomplish before 30" goals with you all, but it will have to be next week.  I have to run right now so I can pack up and get some sleep.  My husband and I are leaving first thing in the morning to go to the Cleveland area for the weekend.  We're going to visit my parents and then go to a concert tomorrow night.  Should be a fun time!  Have a wonderful weekend readers!

P.S. - I planned to post this entry yesterday, on the exact 6 month commencement of the dreaded countdown to 30, but I had some unexpected car problems last night.  Translation: stranded in the parking lot of the salon for almost an hour because my car won't start (and no, it's not an easy battery-jumping fix) waiting for the tow truck.  Blah!  Why do car problems always occur at the worst possible times?!?  It is what it is, I guess.  They did fix it quickly today and it wasn't that expensive of a repair...definitely could have been way worse *knock on wood*!  The point is, by the time my husband and I finally got home last night, I had forgotten all about my "Official 6-month Countdown 'til 30"!  Guess I'm a day behind schedule.....maybe I can just push my birthday back to make up for it?!
